Launch57’s online raffles product, Raffle Rocket, is now fully certified in Alberta! The process was lengthy, requiring certifications first from Gaming Labs International (GLI) to authenticate our random number generator, and then from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) to verify that our system and our company met the raffle rules and regulation for Alberta.
A lot of time and effort went into this, and now, we can proudly offer a complete online raffle experience to Alberta’s fundraising community!
Raffle Rocket is completely self-serve, meaning there are no discovery calls required. Simply create an account and start setting up your raffle. Keep in mind that a raffle license from AGLC is required, so before you can start selling tickets, you’ll need a license first!
Launch57 also offers online silent auctions through Bid Beacon which, to date, has helped organizations raise over $23 million dollars. Raffle Rocket was built with fundraisers in mind, so we’ve made it possible to connect both your silent auction and raffle together. Guests from your auction can purchase raffle tickets, and vice versa! This seamless connection makes it easy for organizations to cross promote their fundraising efforts and maximize the funds they raise.
Raffle Rocket has plans to become certified across Canada and into the United States where raffles are permitted. If you’re outside of Alberta, but would still like to run a raffle, you can use Raffle Rocket to run an ‘offline’ raffle. In this case, you can use our app as an online marketplace to promote your raffle and facilitate ticket sales. Just be sure to follow all the raffle rules and regulations outlined by your jurisdiction’s gaming authority. To learn more about offline raffles, check out our blog on how offline raffles work.
